Effect of virus infection on mineral metabolism in potato plants

Effect of virus infection on mineral metabolism in potato plants

Vestsi Akademii Navuk BSSR, Biyalagichnykh Navuk (3): 51-55

The uptake of N, P, Mn and Fe was higher and Cu uptake was lower in potato plants infected with virus diseases than in healthy ones. Ca contents were similar in leaves of infected and healthy plants; they were lower in the stems up to flowering and higher thereafter in infected plants than in healthy ones. The K and Zn contents were lower in the leaves and higher in the stems of infected plants than of healthy ones.
