Effect of western X-disease on total protein, lipid and triglyceride contents of its leafhopper vector, Colladonus montanus (Van Duzee)

Effect of western X-disease on total protein, lipid and triglyceride contents of its leafhopper vector, Colladonus montanus (Van Duzee)

Indian Journal of Entomology 38(4): 325-328

Studies in India showed that the causal agent of Western X disease caused a reduction in total protein, lipid, and triglyceride contents in its vector Colladonus montanus (Van D.). The depletion of protein, lipids and triglycerides began from the fourth week after infection and accelerated during the fifth and sixth weeks after it.
