Effect of zinc on nodulation and yield of two mung varieties

In pot experiments with 2 Phaseolus aureus cultivars grown in Zn-deficient soil given NPK, soil application of 1 and 2 mg Zn as ZnSO4/l increased nodulation, DM production and seed yields by 54 and 99% in Pusa Baisakhi and by 32 and 77% in PS-16, respectively, when both cultivars were grown from uninoculated seeds.
