Effect on plasma cholesterol of dietary advice in secondary and primary prevention of arteriosclerotic cardiovascular disease

To 258 men 36 to 57 years old who had had coronary infarction, of whom 193 completed the study, individual advice on a diet suitable for healthy adults was given, although diet histories revealed generally that their average intakes of nutrients before infarction differed little from the Swedish norm. At follow-up interviews 1 and 2 years after infarction the 24-h recall method was used.
