Effective allocation of cost-sharing funds for forestry: an example

A procedure is suggested for optimizing the allocation of funds made available to private landowners by the Forestry Incentives Program, for certain forestry practices. The method already noticed of ranking by parametric linear programming was applied to a model system (conversion of low-grade hardwood to pine in different areas of western Louisiana).
