Effective methods for propagating hazel and walnut

The hazel cvs studied were divided into 3 groups: (a) plants with open crowns and with easily detachable shoots with adventitious roots, (b) plants with compact crowns forming offshoots at the base of the trunk or on roots near the base of the bush, and (c) plants with compact crowns producing a small number of offshoots on the root collar. The propagation of each group is discussed.
