This study was conducted to determine whether nitrogen fertilizer would improve the phytotoxicity of 2,4,5-T to Prosopis juliflora var. glandulosa. Ammonium nitrate was applied at various rates to individual trees in autumn 1973 and 2,4,5-T ester was applied on 7 May, 22 May and 3 August the following year. All the treatments resulted in a low % root kill with no conclusive evidence that nitrogen fertilizer made any difference.
