Abstract
From age 24-32 days piglets weaned at 21 days were given diets containing 20% protein supplied by soya bean flour or freeze-dried bovine blood meal or commercial blood meal; the last 2 diets were supplemented with methionine and isoleucine. Feed comsumption was 2.12, 2.16, 1.94 kg, weight gain 1.70, 1.31, 1.13 kg, feed/gain ratio 1.26, 1.58, 1.74, protein digestibility 86, 83, 60% and amino acid digestibility 86, 86, 74%, respectively.
