Evaluation of ergonomic factors in comparing different technological systems for wood harvesting

Discusses the assessment of working conditions as an important criterion in systems evaluation, and describes (in outline) a points method for estimating the stress on a worker in terms of energy expenditure, exposure to health hazards, and risk of accidents. The combined 'level index' calculated by this method increases in value with improved conditions.
