The germination rate of chlamydospores on a collodion coated glass slide was slightly decreased at pH 8 and was dependent on spore density in a mineral salts solution (BMS). At higher densities (106/ml) germination was dependent on exogenous glucose concs. Inhibition of germination at low O2 was higher in BMS than in BMS + glucose.
