Field evaluation of fungicides against Corticium sasakii (Shirai) Matsumoto, causing sheath blight on rice

Field evaluation of fungicides against Corticium sasakii (Shirai) Matsumoto, causing sheath blight on rice

Agricultural Research Journal of Kerala 14(2): 184-186

In field trials at Kayamkulam, Kerala, India in 1975-6, rice Annapurna was sprayed with Hinosan zineb, Zn + maneb, copper oxychloride, Difolatan Ziride or aureofungin. 3 sprays were applied at 10-day intervals starting from the 21st day after transplanting. Differences between treatments were not statistically significant but Hinosan gave the highest grain yield (1.7 t/ha compared with 1.4 t/ha for the control) and the lowest disease index.
