First communication on the parasitic flies of the family Conopidae (Diptera) in the Far East

Trudy Biologo pochvennogo Instituta, Dal' nevostochnyi Nauchnyi Tsentr, Akademiya Nauk SSSR (5): 114 - 116; en p.188

In the south of the Maritime Territory there are 34 species of Conopidae, representing 9 genera. Of these, 11 species and 3 genera occur only in this area, and this degree of endemism is greater than found in other parts of the Soviet Union. The species found in the Maritime Territory are parasites of aculeate Hymenoptera, but the hosts of some species are not known. The plants that the adults visit are listed.
