Growth and digestive transit in the rabbit. Variations determined by physical form, composition and crude fiber content of the feed

Growth and digestive transit in the rabbit. Variations determined by physical form, composition and crude fiber content of the feed

Annales de Biologie Animale, Biochimie, Biophysique 17(4): 535-538

In the first experiment 30 Californian rabbits 6 weeks old were given to appetite a pelleted stock diet or a diet of soya bean oilmeal, maize and barley straw ground or pelleted. After 8 weeks they were given by mouth 141Ce and faeces were collected for 72 h. Mean daily gains for the groups were 35.5, 30.9 and 33.3 g and daily feed intakes were 118, 114 and 96 g.
