Histochemical studies on the enzymes of Hymenolepis diminuta (Rud., 1819). (Cestoda). V. Some enzymes of the synthesis and phosphorolytic degradation of glycogen in mature cestodes

Acta Parasitologica Polonica 23(41/51): 569-592

Activities of phosphorylase a, phosphorylase a phosphatase, phosphorylase b, phosphorylase b kinase, cyclic-3 plus or minus ,5 plus or minus -AMP-dependent protein phosphatase and amylo-(1,4 'right arrow' 1,6)-transglucosidase were located mainly in the parenchymal tissues of Hymenolepis diminuta. Enzymes of the phosphorylase system were not detected in ovaries or vitellaria, but were, as a rule, in spermatozoa.
