For Soviet Mohair goats with high or low content of mohair yolk, and coarse-haired local goats (8/group) resp., the number of sebaceous glands/unit area averaged 22.1, 15.5 and 8.9, the number of sudoriferous glands 18.4, 12.1 and 12.1, and the number of hair follicles 52.5, 41.1 and 37.0.
