Histometric examination of substantia spongiosa of tuber coxae in study of calcium and phosphorus metabolism of the skeletal systems of dairy cows

Histometric examination of substantia spongiosa of tuber coxae in study of calcium and phosphorus metabolism of the skeletal systems of dairy cows

Archiv fur Experimentelle Veterinarmedizin 30(4): 599-607

Biopsy specimens of tuber coxae were obtained from cows at various stages of lactation and on different farms. Results of histometric determination of trabeculae % are tabulated and discussed in detail in relation to milk yield, lactation number, stage of lactation and Ca and P metabolism of the skeleton.
