Tropenmedizin und Parasitologie 28(2): 149-157

In 3 rhesus monkeys infected with Paragonimus africanus and in 5 infected with P. uterobilateralis, the histopathological changes in the lungs included formation of cavities around parasites with strong plasma cell reaction and numerous egg granulomata in the cavity wall, peribronchial and perivascular infiltrates of cells, invariable concomitant pleuritis, and swelling of the hilus lymph nodes and spleen.
