Histopathological changes in channel catfish (Ictalunes punctatus) experimentally and naturally infected with channel catfish virus disease

Histopathological changes in channel catfish (Ictalunes punctatus) experimentally and naturally infected with channel catfish virus disease

Journal of the Fisheries Research Board of Canada 32(4): 563-567

The disease is characterized by haemorrhaging and necrosis, principally in kidney, spleen, gastrointestinal tract and liver. Other lesions demonstrated were degenerative changes in nervous and pancreatic acinar tissue, eosinophilic intracytoplasmic inclusions in lever cells, and phagocytosis of dead and dying erythrocytes in several organs.
