Holographic analysis of oscillations of honeybee combs

Holographic analysis of oscillations of honeybee combs

Experientia 31: 900-901

Holographic interferometry was used to register the absolute amplitudes of oscillations of honeybee combs, vibrated at frequencies to which the bees respond by a "stopping-reaction". The effect of the presence of honey in the combs is discussed.E.E.
