Hoplolaimus singhi n.sp. is described from soil around the roots of Nerium odorum in Hyderabad, A.P., India. It differs from other species of the genus in being the longest known (females 1.43 to 2.07 mm; males 1.45 to 1.58 mm). It resembles H. casparus in having no lateral field but has a longer spear (43 to 56 mu m compared with 40 mu m in H. casparus) and a shorter tail (c = 53 to 75 compared with c = 45.7). The head is clearly offset, with 4 annules.
