Shoot segments 1 cm long were placed in nutrient substrate containing IAA, 2,4-D, NAA, napthoxyacetic acid (NOA), 6-benzylaminopurine (BA), kinetin and/or zeatin in different combinations. Substrates containing IAA (1-10 mg/l) were the best for stimulating formation of buds, which appeared after 5 weeks of culture.
