Hydrolysis and photolysis of the fungicide triforine
In aqueous solution, at 21 deg C, hydrolysis of triforine proceeded rapidly by formation of chloride ions and, through several intermediates, 1-(dihydroxyacetyl)-piperazine and piperazine.
