Morphological observations of thymus of the foetus and calves of the Indian buffalo indicated that the lobes of the fully formed thymus show extensive fusion within the thorax and just in front of the thoracic inlet with the free cervical part extending up to the thyroid cartilage of the larynx.During involution the thymus is replaced by connective tissue and fat.
