Analyses of samples taken from semitendinosus, semimembranosus, and longissimus dorsi muscles at 0 and 24 hours PM of healthy and dystrophic (MD) lambs are presented. Levels of creatine, creatine phosphate, ATP, ADP and total NAD were significantly lower in MD lambs than in healthy lambs and the production of inosine and hypoxanthine was greatly accelerated in MD lambs.
