Immunological abnormalities in patients with candidiasis and their relationship to severity of infection

Immunological abnormalities in patients with candidiasis and their relationship to severity of infection

British Journal of Dermatology 97(Suppl.15): 19

Full immunological assessment was performed on 6 patients with persistent oral Candida infection, and results were compared with those for 3 patients with diffuse chronic mucocutaneous candidiasis and a father and daughter with familial chronic mucocutaneous candidiasis. The only abnormality detected in non specific tests of immunological function was that of low levels of E rosette-forming cells in all 5 patients with familial or diffuse mucocutaneous C. infection. Elevation of anti-C.
