The yields from once-over harvested plants were lower than yields from plants harvested conventionally. However, appreciable differences were observed. An extremely early cv., SK-7, yielded equally well with both harvesting methods. The removal of terminal buds (RTB) had a marked effect on responses among cvs tested. With SK-7, RTB had no effect on yield. In some late season cvs, RTB resulted in higher yields in February or March.
