Inheritance of morphological and physiological characters of the udder in Black Pied cows at the Omsk Agricultural Institute

Data were obtained on 39, 50 and 17 dam-daughter pairs from 3 Russian Black Pied lines. For the 3 groups of dams, the percentage of bowl-shaped udders was 78.2, 72.8 and 52.9 resp., and the percentage of rounded udders was 27.8, 27.2 and 47.1. Corresponding percentages for the 3 groups of daughters were 66.5, 76.6, 94.1, 33.5, 23.4 and 5.9.
