Inheritance of two new plant types and early flowering in sericea lespedeza

Inheritance of two new plant types and early flowering in sericea lespedeza

Journal of Heredity 66(4): 192-196

The F2 of crosses between two lines of a profusely-branched, leafy Lespedeza cuneata mutant (designated A) used as females and a line of normal habit used as male, segregated in the ratio of 45 normal plants: 15 mutant A plants: 4 mutant B plants (dwarfs with very fine stems), indicating that habit is controlled by three independent gene pairs designated G, H and I.
