Investigation on the intensive mineral fertilizing of potatoes. 4. Influence of increasing doses of nitrogen fertilizer on the content of different nitrogen forms and the quantitative composition of amino acids in potato tubers

Investigation on the intensive mineral fertilizing of potatoes. 4. Influence of increasing doses of nitrogen fertilizer on the content of different nitrogen forms and the quantitative composition of amino acids in potato tubers

Pamietnik Pulawski (63): 123-142

In field trials in 1964-6, potato Flora, Flisak and Wulkan were given 0-225 kg N/ha, 120-150 kg K2O/ha and 75 kg P2O5/ha. Tubers were sampled at 4 stages during the growing season and the amino-acid contents of protein-N and N fractions were determined. Results showed that the N level in the soil affected the total N content and the protein and non-protein N fractions in plants.
