Investigations on agronomic practices for triticale. 1. Effect of sowing rate and date and of fertilization on yield of triticale and of spring wheat

In field trials at Pulawy in 1968-70 with triticale Rosner and spring wheat Ostka Popularna, sowing rates were 200, 250, 300, 350 or 400 kg/ha, sowing dates were early spring, late spring or late autumn and rates of applied N were 30, 60 or 90 kg/ha. Increase of sowing rate over 200 kg/ha had no significant effect on grain yield of triticale, while rates over 250 kg/ha caused a decrease in wheat yield.
