Investigations on the contamination of agricultural products with preparations containing DDT under conditions of intensive treatment with chemicals

Prace Naukowe Instytutu Ochrony Roslin 15(2): 141-152

The results are presented of further investigations in Poland on residues of DDT and its metabolites in crops, fodder and milk. The total residues of p,p'-DDT, o,p'-DDT and p,p'-DDE in wheat, rye, potatoes, dried lucerne, dried grass and clover, and parsley in State farms in 1971 averaged 0.204, 0.383, 0.274, 0.231, 0.822, 0.637 and 0.129 p.p.m., respectively. For potatoes, fodder beet, carrots and barley on private farms they averaged 0.176, 0.207, 0.361 and 0.177, respectively.
