Investigations on the ring mosaic of lemon balm (Melissa officinalis L.)

Tobacco rattle virus (TRV) and the potato bouquet serotype of tomato black ring virus (TBRV) were isolated from plants showing yellow ring mosaic turning to necrosis and leaf distortion. Symptoms were reproduced by back transmissions. TRV was the main pathogen; TBRV intensified necrosis and leaf distortion of plants with mixed infection.
