Abstract
Following treatments of seed with X rays and ethyl methanesulphonate, four new leaf mutants, crinkled-leaf, waxy-leaf, narrow-leaf and unifoliolate were obtained. The crinkled-leaf and waxy-leaf mutants had normal fertility, whereas the narrow-leaf mutant was partially sterile and the unifoliolate, an extreme dwarf, completely sterile. Three of the mutations were monogenic recessive to the normal. The unifoliolate mutation, however, appeared to be caused by a chromosome aberration.
