To 7 days old, 1280 male chickens were kept at 32.2 deg C then some were kept at 23.9 deg from 7 to 14 days old and at 15.6 deg from 14 to 28 days; the others were kept at 29.4 deg from 7 to 28 days old. Lysine in diet was from 0.80 to 1.15% in one trial, 0.85 to 1.20% in the other, by differences of 0.05 percentage units. At 28 days old, bodyweight was greatest with lysine 1.10% at 15.6 deg C or with 1.00% at 29.4 deg C.
