ISSN/ISBN: 0002-1962

In field trials in 1973-4 on 2 soils, established tall fescue Kentucky-31 stands were given N at 3 or 5 rates from 0 to 134 kg/ha in single or split applications in Dec., March, June, July or Aug. or in 2 of these months. Seed and spring and autumn herbage yields were highest with 101 kg N/ha given in Dec., March or Aug., resp., since 135 kg/ha caused severe lodging.
