Methodology of obtaining tomato hybrids with a high content of beta -carotene in the fruits

Methodology of obtaining tomato hybrids with a high content of beta -carotene in the fruits

Tezisy dokl Konf "Selektsiya i genet ovoshch kul' tur", 1: 268-274

When the parents differed slightly in beta -carotene content, but each had a recessive gene controlling the character, the degree of dominance of beta -carotene content varied. In crosses where one parent had a high content controlled by the gene B, intermediate inheritance was observed in the F1.
