Inoculation with aeciospores of Micronegeria alba confirmed host alternation between Austrocedrus chilensis and the deciduous spp. Nothofagus alpina, N. obliqua vars. obliqua and macrocarpa, and N. glauca. N. alessandri and N. pumilio were immune. Aeciospores of M. fagi from Araucaria araucana had the same host range in N. On A. angustifolia M. fagi formed spermogonia, but not aecia.
