Modifications induced by microelements on plant metabolism. The translocation of iron, manganese and zinc in tomato plants

Modifications induced by microelements on plant metabolism. The translocation of iron, manganese and zinc in tomato plants

Annali della Facolta di Agraria, Universita Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, Milano 13(1/3): 249-266

Pot tests with granular fertilizers containing NPK alone with 2 levels each of Fe, Zn and Mn, showed that feeding with the microelements increased their respective degrees of translocation within the plant. Interactions between microelements also occurred; when the Fe supply was low increasing the Zn supply increased the Fe content of the fruit juice, and increasing the Mn supply depressed the Fe content.
