ISSN/ISBN: 0035-1555

Factors influencing the epidemiology of myxomatosis (introduced in 1953) are outlined diagrammatically (in particular Anopheles, Culiseta and Aedes). Meteorological, epidemiological and pathological aspects are described, in particular the mosquito vectors (A. vexans, A. sticticus and A. cinereus) and prophylaxis. The aetiology and distribution of canine suburban babesiosis (Babesia canis) are described, including the role of Dermacentor reticulatus.
