Grains of the line F7 with male-sterile Texas cytoplasm (F7T) were treated with ethyl methanesulphonate, and the resulting plants crossed with the restorer line F71. In the M3, some male-sterile plants resistant to race T of Cochliobolus heterostrophus were observed.
