Poeyana, Serie A 88: 1-15



Nematodes were found in 11 of 73 charadriiform birds examined. Skrjabinocerca prima, Skrjabinoclava horrida, Viktorocara schejkini and Tropisurus nouveli are reported for the first time in Cuba and in the neotropical region; Capillaria contorta is recorded for the first time in Cuba. Sciadiocara umbellifera, Chevreuxia revoluta, Cosmocephalus obvelatus, Contracaecum sp. larvae, Capillaria obsignata, C. anatis and the above mentioned species have been found parasitizing 10 new hosts.
