Marine exposure tests on wood of Coelocaryon preussii (a non-durable African hardwood) and Pine (Pinus sylvestris), either untreated or treated with Cu-Cr-As, CCB, CCF and Cu-Cr salts, were made (a) near Abidjan, Ivory Coast, (b) at La Pallice on the Atlantic coast of France, and (c) on the Mediterranean coast of France. Results after 3-8 years are tabulated. Treatment was relatively ineffective against aggressive teredinid attack at (a), but was effective in France, especially with Cu-Cr-As.
