New preparations for control of pests of fruit orchards

Entomological investigations in Kirgizia Volume 10: Entomologicheskie issledovaniya v Kirgizii Vypusk 10: 53-56

Between 1967 and 1969, a number of insecticides were tested for control of Cydia pomonella(L.) and orchard mites in the orchards at the Kirgiz Institute of Agricultural Research, USSR. These are described. On the basis of the results, phenthoate (Cidial) and phosmet (Phthalophos) at a concentration of 0.2% were approved for general use.
