Against Puccinia graminis var. tritici and P. recondita on wheat, P. graminis var. avenae and P. coronata var. avenae on oats, P. penniseti (P. substriata var. penicillariae) on Pennisetum typhoides and P. sorghi on maize, sprays of 2-methyl benzoic acid anilide, 2-iodine benzoic acid anilide and 2,5 dimethyl furan-3-carboxylic acid at 100 ppm were more effective when applied before or with the inoculum than as post inoculation treatments.
