Nutritional requirements for folate compounds and some enzyme activities involved in the folate biosynthesis

Dihydrofolate synthetase activity was estimated in extracts of different microorganisms and mushrooms microbiologically with Lactobacillus casei. Activity was high in Escherichia coli, Serratia indica, Bacillus cereus and Pseudomonas riboflavina.
