Observations on some species of the genus Lecithodendrium Looss, 1896 from bats in Punjab

Four new and 4 known species of Lecithodendrium were recovered from bats in the Punjab, India. L (L.) gurdaspurense n.sp. from the small intestine of Pipistrellus dormeri, previously considered by Gupta & Bhardwaj, 1958 as a species inquirenda, is described. L (L.) witenbergi n.sp. from the small intestine of P. dormeri is characterized by the shape of the body and differs from other species of the genus in combinations of various morphological characters.
