Metaquimperia lucknowia n.sp. from the intestine of Mystus seenghala from Lucknow, India, differs from Metaquimperia wallagonia in having a gubernaculum and from both M. callichroi and M. bagarii in having 9 pairs of anal papillae, non-alate spicules, and in lacking a pair of papillae on the female tail. A key to the species of the genus is given.
