On the determination of ecologically significant fractions of some heavy metals in soils

On the determination of ecologically significant fractions of some heavy metals in soils

Swedish Journal of Agricultural Research 6(1): 19-25

Attempts have been made to separate ecologically significant fractions of heavy metals in soils by means of three common extractants. Normal and polluted soil was treated with 2 M HNO3 at 100 deg C for 2 hr in a boiling waterbath, and with 1 M NH4OAc at pH 4.8 and 7.0 at 20 deg C in an end-over-end rotator for 1 h.
