Oxygen requirement of pigs in exogenous hyperthermia

Oxygen requirement of pigs in exogenous hyperthermia

Monatshefte fur Veterinarmedizin 30(13): 497-501

ISSN/ISBN: 0026-9263

Fifteen store pigs (35-40 kg) were anaesthetized, strapped down and subjected to a room temperature of 35 deg C for 3 hours. Detailed analyses of the blood and measurements of respiratory rate at 1/2-hourly intervals showed two phases of tissue response.
