Phenotypic correlations between pod characteristics in Pisum sativum L

Vedecke Prace Vyskumneho Ustavu Rastlinnej Vyroby v Piest' anoch 13: 171-177

In the F1 and F2 of a four-variety diallel, phenotypic correlations were determined between pod length, pod breadth, number and weight of seeds per pod and seed yield per plant. In the parental varieties, the correlations between the first four characters were high (almost all above r = 0.8) and highly significant; between seed yield per plant and the other four characters, very low and without significance.
